Wojciech Ostaszewski
law studies PhD, legal counsel, member of Warsaw Legal Counsels Bar.
Graduated from University of Warsaw, Law and Administration Faculty. Completed the postgraduation studies on Capital Market Law on Law and Administration Faculty of the Warsaw University.
In 2014 after dissertation defense he was granted the law PhD title. His dissertation was prepared and defended in University of Warsaw Law and Administration Faculty, Institute of Law and Administration Studies, under the direction of First President of the Supreme Court in Poland, professor Małgorzata Gersdorf.
He gained his professional experience in law firms, public sector. Afterwards he has worked over 6 years in Polish Supreme Court, Labour Law, Social Security and Public Affairs Chamber.
Since the beginning of his career he simultaneously practiced law and developed in law studies area – he prepared monographic paper regarding the complementary employers legal responsibility and several dozen of articles and court sentences glosses. He is also co-author of legal commentaries to insurance and social security law bills, prepared under direction of Supreme Court Judges.
Jakub Michalski
advocate, member of Warsaw Bar Association. University of Warsaw, Law and Administration Faculty graduate.
Began his professional career in the non-governmental organizations aiming for the human rights protection. Cooperated, among others, with Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.
For almost 10 years worked for the public sector where he has been responsible for strategic analysis in the justice system and as a deputy director of the Department of Strategy and European Funds prepared the strategy for the Polish Ministry of Justice.
He served for nearly 6 years as Council of Europe National Correspondent responsible for researching and comparing the justice systems efficiency in Poland and other CoE member states.
Participant of working groups cooperating within the World Bank activities and reports in the area of starting a business, property law and enforcing contracts.
Aside the law-related areas he was responsible for impact assessment for legislation in Poland and risk analysis in strategic modernization projects. Author of publications concerning the functioning of justice system and commercial law.
Privately he is a dog owner also fond of motorcycles and mountaineering.
